Mervyn H, a Coquitlam resident, screamed so loud when he found out he had won the $1 Million Guaranteed Prize from the 6/49 jackpot draw on June 23, 2021, that his family rushed to his side to see what all the excitement was about.
“We were all just together, sitting around,” explained Mervyn. “Then when I screamed, they all came to take a look at my screen, and I showed them the amount that I had won.”

After the excitement died down within the family, Mervyn wanted to share the news with his extended family. When he first told them, Mervyn explained that “they were a bit skeptical at first, they thought, why would someone approach me and give me a million dollars?”
He had to tell them that the million-dollar win was, in fact, real because he bought the ticket from Playnow.com ! After explaining, they were so happy and excited for him!
“Some of it will be taken out for the spending factor and the enjoyment factor!”
Mervyn says he plans to put most of his winnings into investments for the future. But of course, he didn’t forget about enjoying some parts of his win.
In addition to the investments, Mervyn decided that he will also take his family on vacation, “[his] treat of course.”
