Bigger LOTTO MAX jackpots coming soon
January 15, 2015
Beginning July 17, 2015, the LOTTO MAX jackpot cap will increase from $50 million to $60 million.
Following the increase, the jackpot cap – or the maximum amount that the main jackpot can reach – will now continue to grow once the LOTTO MAX jackpot reaches $50 million. The new record level the jackpot cap can reach is now $60 million if the jackpot is not won. MAXMILLIONS will still begin at $50 million and continue to increase after the jackpot reaches the new cap.
Players will have to wait until July 17, 2015 when the LOTTO MAX game conditions are changed before any jackpots can grow this large.
The odds of winning the LOTTO MAX jackpot remain the same at 1 in 28,633,528 with each $5 play. The overall odds of winning remain at 1 in 6.6. The prize pool allocations for the 5/7, 6/7 and 6/7+ Bonus categories will change slightly to support the new, larger jackpots.
Since LOTTO MAX launched in 2009, a $50 million jackpot has been won 29 times.
LOTTO MAX can be played at your favourite lottery retailer or at PlayNow.com and on wclc.com.

Questions? We have answers:
Is the price of a LOTTO MAX play going to change?
There will be no change in price for LOTTO MAX. Players will continue to receive three (3) lines for each $5 play.
When do these changes take effect?
The first draw with the new prize structure is July 17, 2015. The timing of the first draw with a $60 million jackpot will depend on sales and when jackpots are won between now and then. A $55 Million or $60 Million jackpot will happen at the first opportunity on or after July 17, 2015 when a $50 Million jackpot rolls.
