R.M. of Springfield resident wins $1 Million LOTTO 6/49 prize!
Pamela S.'s excitement just kept growing as she realized that her lottery prize was MUCH bigger than she'd first thought. The R.M. of Springfield resident won $1 million on the September 6 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
"I was on my way to church, and I had a bit of time so I stopped at the store to check my ticket," Pamela explained while picking up her prize.
"The clerk who checked my ticket got a little flustered when the prize amount popped up on the screen," she remembered. "She said, 'You won $10,000! No, I think it's $100,000!'"
"Then, another customer piped up and said, 'You won $1 million!'" said Pamela. "I could hardly speak. The number kept going higher and higher - I was completely shocked!"
Pamela said she hopes to use some of her windfall to travel with her husband.
"There are a few places we would like to see," she said. "We've always wanted to go to Hawaii. And we have a grandson living in England right now, so it would be nice to visit him."
Pamela purchased her $4 LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket at Red River Co-op, located at Unit 3 Co-op Drive in Oakbank. She won the $1 Million Guaranteed Prize Draw, with the winning selection 22098972-01.
