They say third times the charm, but for Wayne H., it took checking his ticket on the Lotto Spot app more than 20 times before he believed he had won $100,000 on his LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket. The Dauphin Beach local won his prize on the December 31 draw.

“I just could not believe it,” he said while claiming his prize. “Once it sunk in I was so excited.”

The winner said he is going to take some time deciding what to do with his winnings, but plans to share some of the money with some special people.

“I’m going to take some time to figure out what I want to do,” he said. “But I’m definitely going to share with my kids.”

Wayne purchased his winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket at Dauphin Super Thrifty Mart, located at 224 Main Street in Dauphin. He won his $100,000 prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number – 6662802.
