The biggest underdog on the bet slip was flyweight Kai Kara-France, who had odds of 4.25 to beat Askar Askarov heading into their bout at UFC Fight Night. Kara-France scored a huge upset victory by unanimous decision.

Alex also took the Vancouver Canucks as moneyline underdogs against the Dallas Stars. After battling to a 1-1 draw through 40 minutes, the Canucks scored three times in the third period to come away with a 4-1 road victory – and helping secure this winning wager.

The biggest sweat of the day likely came during NHL action.

The Florida Panthers, road moneyline favourites, scored with just over two minutes remaining in regulation to tie the game, before defeating the Ottawa Senators in a shootout for that selection to hit. The Minnesota Wild also needed late-game heroics to force overtime before winning in the extra period against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
