Steven G. of Ladysmith hit a home run with a recent MLB parlay!
Give props to Steven G. of Ladysmith, B.C., for winning $6,893.50 on a recent $26 sports bet at PlayNow.com.
Steven went swinging for the fences with a five-way parlay of Total Home Run player props, and cashed in when all five of his selections went yard in their respective games last month.
Steven selected the Over 0.5 home runs for the following players, with their odds included:
- Mitch Haniger Over 0.5 Home Runs (4.75)
- Max Muncy Over 0.5 Home Runs (4.40)
- Freddie Freeman Over 0.5 Home Runs (5.30)
- Jose Abreu Over 0.5 Home Runs (4.40)
- Paul Goldschmidt Over 0.5. Home Runs (5.55)
All five players were able to connect, resulting in Steven’s wager turning into a winner. Max Muncy hit a pair of home runs that day, helping the Dodgers to a 9-2 win over the Colorado Rockies. He didn’t hit his first home run until the eighth inning, likely resulting in a little bit of a sweat for those backing the Over on his home run player prop.
Seattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger didn’t hit his home run until the top of the 9 th inning. The home run did little for the Mariners, who were down eight runs at the time, but it did cap off the winning parlay for Steven.
The MLB Trade Deadline was Friday, with playoff contending teams looking to make moves and bolster their rosters for the stretch drive into October.
Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani remains the favourite to win American League MVP over Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. In the National League, Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres has vaulted into the position of favourite to win NL MVP, ahead of New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom.
