A Winnipeg man with roots in Ukraine is celebrating a life-changing moment after winning $1 million on the June 3 LOTTO 6/49 draw – and he's still trying to wrap his head around it.

Nikoloz D discovered his win the morning after the June 3 draw after scanning his ticket using the Lotto Spot app; he was stunned by what he saw.

“It's unbelievable!” he said, recalling the moment. “I still cannot believe this has happened for us!”

The winner admits the reality of the win hasn’t fully sunk in.

“How many zeros are there?!” he laughed, describing his disbelief as the prize amount appeared on his screen.

Nikoloz says the win means more than just financial security – it’s an opportunity to reconnect with loved ones and look ahead to a new chapter.

“We're going on a trip home to Ukraine to visit family,” he shared. “After, we're going to pay off our car and buy a home.”
